I have always been a fan of director, Mike Donner. He has done some incredible videos with good plots or story to the video. Sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant, but his videos are always hot and satisfying. However, I don't know what happened to "Arouse!" Somehow it misses the mark and doesn't seem like it really came from him.
At first glance when the opening credits role you think to yourself that this video is going to sizzle. The boys are cute and the title implies there will be a lot to get aroused about. I was ready for a good time. The boys at the start of the DVD (Rocco Diniro and Jack Braun) are in a relationship and are having a problem with making sex happen due to their busy lives (something a lot of us can relate to). They contact their friends who have been in a relationship for quite some time and they apparently offer them tips to making it work. The DVD then cuts away to 3 different relationships, one at a time, and takes us through their efforts to make their relationships work.
The first couple (Jason Clydesdale and Devon Summers) although very cute and fun to watch, has supposedly been together for quite some time, but it's obvious that they never met before the cameras started rolling. It's apparent in their dialogue and the way they interact with each other. Okay, so they weren't in a relationship, it's a video...I'm willing to excuse this flaw in the story line. The sex is hot and the camera angles are great.
The second couple (Nathan Brooks and Marc Winters) likes to have an occasional three-way. They have a regular fuck buddy (Kyle McDermott) that they call. So together, on a twin bed, the three of them attempt to have sex with soft dicks and very awkward moments. Again, it's obvious they have never been together a day in their life. And this is where the video loses any steam that started to arise from the first scene.
The third couple (Andy Hunter and Sean Trevor) likes to have sex toys to play with in their relationship. In their scene Andy inserts 5 or 6 toys into Sean's ass...and that's about as exciting as it gets. They are both pretty hot, but who cares at this point? There still isn't much chemistry there.
So now we get back to Rocco and Jack. Jack does a little dance on the TV to get Rocco's attention and Rocco laughs hysterically at him (deservedly so). At this point, the sex and the story line are so far beneath arousal that you might as well laugh right along with Rocco. There isn't much else left to do.
Sorry Mike Donner. I love you, But I didn't like this DVD.
