It's a small world after all. When third-world countries like Nigeria start pumping out porn – not just any porn, but all-male porn - you know the global borders are shrinking fast. What a shame this film is not very good. The title, Nigerian XXL Connection, seems to imply exotic black men, blessed with a little something extra below the belt. That's the not always the case. As much as you wish they were, these black men can't really call themselves XXL.
Of the six vignettes in Nigerian XXL, three are solos. None of the men really set the DVD player on fire, and in fact, one model is forced to reach underneath a pot belly to masturbate. Their scenes are poorly lit and the camera work is shaky.
The remaining three interludes are pairs. The film's opener is a scene between two Nigerian models in a roadside bar. You get the feeling that it's blazing hot outside, but strangely enough, an X-rated version of "Jingle Bell Rock" (sucka-my sucka-my sucka-my cock...you get the idea) is the soundtrack for the sex. The result is jarring and comical – anything but dick-stirring.
At first, the men are merely chatting over drinks. Then they suddenly start getting undressed, rather matter-of-factly. It's almost as if someone were asking them to strip for a routine physical. One model blows the other; they 69; they fuck; they jerk each other off – all with the same level of enthusiasm as a washwoman doing her laundry.
A white model provides the entertainment for the remaining sex scenes, each time paired with a different Nigerian model. And wouldn't you know it, the white guy is exquisitely hung, sporting more cockmeat than the black guys. He's also the most excited, no doubt turned on by the prospect of being cornholed by non-English speaking Africans. At the end of the film, he opens his mouth for a huge load of cum, the most erotic moment throughout.
Fans of African men will surely come away from Nigerian XXL Connection unsatisfied. Add to that a DVD without anything extra, and it simply is not worth the effort. These days, with studios catering to very specific audience tastes, there's very little time to waste on substandard product.
