Author, Max Todd (Michael Lucas) had a best seller, but now has writer's block. He also has a troubled marriage with Cole Ryan, who feels neglected and suspects that Todd is sleeping with other men. Todd is also a columnist who spends time with celebrity couples like Ray Star and Savanna Samson.
Shopping and then partying with the couple leads to jealousy and betrayal when Star eyes a male stripper (Brad Star) and sends him a wad of cash for a private meeting, leaving his girlfriend and Max to wonder what happened to him. Well, he's backstage in a private dressing room sucking cock, eating ass and fucking the hell out of his stripper plaything.
At a literary party sponsored by Max's confidant (Spencer Quest), Max and Cole circulate the crowd and Cole meets Chad Hunt, a publisher who's attracted to him. Meanwhile, Quest has his eyes on a young twink (Jaime Donovan) whom he lures into a janitor's closet and has sex with him. As revenge against Max, Cole leaves the soiree and goes home with Hunt where dirty-minded Chad seduces him with romantic kisses and his specialty igniting the sin deep inside his bottom's hole by totally eating it out to the point he's begging to get fucked. Ryan takes Chad's monster without a problem, just emitting groans of pain mixed with pleasure.
After Max gets word that Quest will be getting arrested for having sex with a minor, he rushes to his side. Depressed after the police take Spencer away, Max drowns his sorrow in drink. This leads him not to go home, but he wanders to an East Village sex club. Down in the club's dark den, the sexually depraved men are furiously sucking dick, eating ass and gut banging other strangers. One guy, Justin Christopher, catches Todd's eye and they get into some heavy oral, which leads to rimming and all-out fucking. Rick, Max's vengeful former assistant witnesses the debauchery, snaps a picture and scampers. Todd quickly dresses but is unable to catch the culprit.
Max walks through the early morning Manhattan streets pondering his fate. When he finally arrives home, he discovers that Cole has packed and left. Understanding why, he sits down to his computer and starts to write "The Sweet Life."
If the sex scenes had been shorter, three very hot deleted scenes (edited) could have added extra punch. One was with Rod Barry/Chad Hunt; Michael Lucas/Spencer Quest and an orgy with Erik Grant/Cole Ryan and other men.
Wonderful script, knowing direction, top-notch photography, professional performances, hot sex. A lot of money was spent on this and it shows. The DVD extras are as exciting as the film itself. This is a crowning achievement.
