The two best scenes of A Holiday Tale are dick-draining examples of director Afton Nills' impressive work in the twink genre. There's a sliver of story here involving boyfriends Jason Raze and Jonathan Deverell getting into some mischief at a resort, but it's Zach Buckland who really lit my fire in this one. Dark-haired and milky-skinned, Buckland first appears sitting in a chair and stroking as Deverell walks in. Buckland is no wimpy twink – he looks athletic and has a combination of cute and hot that grabs you by the balls. He also looks like a top, whereas blond Deverell does not (although he is hugely hung), so it's a bit of a surprise when Buckland suddenly has his legs in the air as Deverell slides his dick into his hole. I like that this scene gets right down to it: After their flirtatious exchange, the fucking begins without even any sucking beforehand. It's shot largely from behind, giving a wonderful view of Deverell pounding away as Buckland gives his approval, but you can see the pleasure on his face, as well, when the camera moves around. Later, they switch to doggy style, and the intensity doesn't let up. It's always hot to see a bigger guy get fucked by someone slighter, and to see the smaller guy mop the floor with him here is instant orgasm material. At the end, they jerk off side by side as Buckland stares at his buddy's cock. In the other outstanding scene, we see Dean Berkeley blowing Buckland as Jason Raze walks in. Buckland and Berkeley double-team Raze's stiff rod. Camerawork is too tight on the fucking at first, but we eventually get a good look at a sandwich with Berkeley inside Buckland doggy-style while Raze fucks him. Berkeley then gets an oral double-teaming at the end.
In the lesser scenes, we have studly Jason Raze with Deverell. Raze gives Deverell a long blowjob before Deverell straddles him and rides hard. It's not entirely uninteresting, but the attempts at artistic lighting and framing in this scene do nothing to help the viewer. The oral-only finale between coverboy Turk Melrose and Winter Vance is a letdown after the two hot fucks that precede it, but fans of Buckland, in particular, should give this one a look.
The DVD lacks a navigation menu and offers no extras.
