It takes skill to make a solo flick interesting to watch. Sexy models alone aren’t always enough. Aided by some skillful editing and a varied soundtrack, the producers of Chicken Ala Twink have put a flick that’s borderline decent. There’s a lot of young men lined up who are all of the twink variety – smooth, slender, under 20, and eager. Of course, some give stronger performances than others.
I liked the first model out of the gate best, Sky Blew. Look up the word coy in the dictionary and you’ll find this little fucker’s face. Before Sky shows the camera the spider-web tattoo on his ass, he shows off a few skateboard tricks. When it’s time to whack off, he makes a big show of spitting into the palm of his hand. A little natural lube goes a long way and soon he’s aiming his load so that it coats his knit cap that’s laid out on the bed.
No two models are quite the same. Danny Boy Bigg’s claim to fame is that he’s supremely hung. Ricky Cruz blows a load, and then becomes mesmerized by his own goo-covered fingers. And Jay Cucumber….well, his last name pretty much puts his special talents right out there.
Mikey DiNero (cover) has a sexy vibe that’s undeniable. He takes to the camera and the camera takes to him. Using his skateboard as a prop, he banters with the director and throws several cheeky smirks directly into the camera lens. The director then tries to capture (unsuccessfully) some gloryhole footage. But between the cardboard partition and DiNero’s giggles, it’s more of a comedy routine than jerk-off material.
The camera work is truly ham-handed, but nothing out of the ordinary for amateur porn. Some of the pups look a bit strung out and some are overly giddy. But thrown in with the solos is some deleted footage from films like Sammy Case Superstar, which helps to break up the film’s quirkiness.
The studio execs should have avoided the overweight guy with the bad comb-over who steps in to fluff and maul the models. The footage of this chubb-o (his screen persona is "The Tuna") with younger, leaner studs like Justin Young is beyond unfortunate. These interspersed appearances in Chicken Ala Twink are out and out mood breakers. My only other complaint is the total lack of extra DVD content, a must when you’re vying for the porn consumer’s dollar.
