Austin's Hot Locale for Sunbathing, Swimming & Twink Fishing

This summer, when the temperature heats up that's your queue to head to Austin, Texas. I know, I know, it sounds like the last place you are thinking of visiting when it's time to turn your air conditioner on. But bear with me gentlemen, or should I say "bare" with me, there's a hot spot in Austin that is a popular hang out for twinks that will make you sweat more than the sun can.

Hippie Hollow Park offers beautiful scenery... hilly, rugged, and that's just the human landscape! The limestone cliffs are set along the eastern shore of Lake Travis and Hippie Hollow Park is the most popular spot for gays and twinks to meet there because, and you have probably already guessed it, it is the only public park in Texas that you can run wild, free and nude baby! Ever close your eyes and picture an image of a beautiful boy running along the water's shore and then he takes his shirt off... then he takes his board shorts off... well my gay gentlemen friends, no need to hold that image in a fantasy any more! You can see him. You can watch that twink. You can meet others who have the same interests as you and definitely who has many of the same ambitions.

Loyal sunbathers visit Austin's Hippie Hollow Park every year. Yes it is getting busier, but gentlemen please, can there really ever be too many naked gay men and twinks running around in the warm sun and water splashing in the background? Oh no, as soon as outdoor temps rise to over 60 degrees Fahrenheit, head to the Park, and bring your fishing rods (you know what I mean!) and get ready to do some twink fishing!

Every year, two big gatherings are held at Hippie Hollow Park which are hosted by the local gay community. Both events are called Splash Weekends and are held over Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. These are two weekends you do not want to miss.

Directing you to Hippie Hollow Park, first you need to know that it is about a thirty minutes drive, northwest of Austin. You can start by taking the MoPac Expressway, also called highway 1. You'll take that north for approximately 5 miles from the west side of downtown. Then you'll hop on highway 2222 and take that for about 12 miles to Hippie Hollow Park. Signs will help guide your way as well.

Bring cash for parking. You will pay $10 for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists only pay $5 each. Once you park you'll want to find the gay section of the park and that means you will literally need your hiking shoes for this trek! You know us gays, we like exclusivity. You will follow a set of stone steps that will lead you to a paved path. Turn left at the restrooms and keep walking. At this point you will start noticing the nude bodies, men and women, strolling along and enjoying the beautiful day and sunning on the rocks while baring it all.

Follow your gaydar and keep walking for about 15 minutes. What a great directional, once you see the nudes, keep walking! You will eventually find your spot after you have walked along this paved road with lovely bodies and feeling the warmth on your skin. Steps lead down to a large spread of rocks and this is a gay section, be warned though that this is an unofficial gay section so you may find some unintentional mixing or people who stumble into the area by mistake. Keep walking until you hear the dance club music, see the twinks glittering in the sun and a rainbow flag flapping in the wind. Hopefully that is the only fabric you'll see while at this Park!
